“There is no greater joy than to be able to help restore function and provide pain relief for those in need of it.”
—Dr. Armen Oganesian, DO, MPH

Who is Dr. Oganesian?

Dr. Armen Oganesian, DO, MPH is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery. He believes the majority of back pain can be addressed non-surgically with proper guidance. For the small minority of patients, where surgery is needed, he employs techniques to decrease post-operative pain, quicken the recovery period, and lessen the burden of surgical trauma on a patient’s overall wellness. He continues to advance orthopedic spine surgery through both endoscopic and minimally invasive approaches. Dr. Oganesian utilizes minimally invasive techniques to treat herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, adult scoliosis, spinal fractures, sacroiliac joint disorders, radiculopathy, neck pain, and facet joint disease.

Dr. Oganesian is a Southern California native who completed his college education at California State University, Northridge. He went on to earn his medical degree from Tuoro University Nevada and his MPH from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Dr. Oganesian completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency training at Michigan State University. In 2018, he served as Chief Resident and was awarded Orthopedic Resident of the Year. Dr. Oganesian specializes in adult spine conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He is versed in non-surgical and surgical treatment methods, including endoscopic and minimally invasive procedures, to promote a return to an active lifestyle. He treats each patient individually, providing them with the necessary tools to direct their own care, and guiding them through each step of the treatment process. He enjoys interacting with his patients and is passionate about patient education, matching treatment plans with his patients’ goals, and ensuring the best outcomes. Dr. Oganesian believes there is no greater joy than to be able to help restore function and provide pain relief for those in need of it.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Oganesian is devoted to high-quality clinical research and innovation in endoscopic and minimally invasive spine surgery. In addition to his education, Dr. Oganesian is a member of the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. “Dr. Oganesian is absolutely amazing and so is every single person who works at his office. They are all incredibly kind, caring, warm, down to earth, friendly, compassionate, and genuinely concerned about each individual patient. They actually take you on time and don’t leave you waiting, they don’t try to sell you on surgery if you don’t need it, and they take the time to explain everything to you. I wish all doctors offices were this exceptional. I can’t recommend this place enough.”
